Parents Information

Clothing

Pre-school is fun but it can be messy! We do provide aprons and most of the materials the children use at pre-school will wash out, but to avoid any tears we recommend that children wear appropriate clothing.

Pre-school provides named bags for spare clothes and indoor shoes.  Please check and refill as required. If your child uses nappies, please keep a supply in his/her bag.

Please ensure that all clothes and coats are labelled.

Settling In

Sometimes it takes a while for a child to settle and  this may take several sessions so please don't worry.  If a child is very distressed or upset we will contact you.  From experience we know that children will settle given time.

Trinity Pre-school is a Registered Charity No.   1023282

Donations

We welcome donations of breadsticks, ricecakes, fruit, vegetables and tissues.

Opening Hours & Holidays

We are open from 8.45 am to 3 pm,  Monday to Friday. We take all holidays and inset days at the same time as Trinity School.  Out of courtesy we would appreciate it if you could inform us of any term-time holidays you may take.

Security

Please let a member of staff know if someone other than your child's usual parent/carer is collecting your child from pre-school.

Illness

Please don't bring your child to Pre-school if they are suffering from diarrhoea,  sickness or conjunctivitis.   Children should not attend until they are clear of illness (48 hours recommended).

If you aren't sure please phone us or refer to our Policies and Procedures page.

Snacks

At snack time we promote healthy eating and children are provided with a choice of water or milk, fruit and a selection of healthy snacks.  Please advise the pre-school if your child has any food allergies or special requirements.

Packed Lunch

Please do not include biscuits, sweets, crisps  or any food which contains nuts in your child's packed lunch.

Tapestry

We are now using  Tapestry, which is an interactive online learning journal.  This helps staff and parents to record, track and celebrate children's progress.   The journal is shared online with parents on a daily basis.

To access tapestry, parents will be sent an email link which allows them to set up unique access information with a PIN. This will allow you to access information which is relevant to your child.  It will be accessible by designated staff members but no one else.
