Trinity Pre- School
September 2011
A huge welcome to all new and existing parents, carers and children. Hope you all had a great summer.
Important dates-
October half term, we break up on the 21st (Friday) at
3.00pm
and return on Monday the 31st October (Monday).
Eligibility dates-dates for the government grant are displayed on the notice board.
Key person
System-Ongoing observations of your child are carried out by staff
to ensure that all children receive the
support for their continued development and learning.
A list of staff
and children is
always
on the notice board. If you have any queries or questions about
your child, do not hesitate to talk to the staff member responsible
for your child.
You can make an
appointment or we are available at drop off time.
Collection-If at
any time someone unfamiliar to the staff is
picking up your child, please
remember to tell a member of staff and write it in the authorization
book.
Books-The Book People
drop off books to us regularly. The order form is with
the books. Please pay when you place an order.
Important
information-Please notify me of any changes of addresses or phone
numbers asap to enable me to keep our records up to date.
Injuries-If your child
has an injury which occurred
at home
please let
their key worker know when you bring them to pre-school.
Planning- This term our
Topic is All about me. Children
are welcome to bring photos, books etc.
To pre- school.
Our planning is displayed on the notice board which
will
specify all
activities we
have planned for the weeks
ahead.
Parents input-Please
let us know (by using a post-it note,
photo, piece of work etc.)
if your child does anything new.
Pre-school photographs- more info to
follow.
Spare clothes- Please ensure all children have a named bag with
spare clothes in it, nappies, wet wipes and a dean pair of indoor
shoes during wet and muddy weather. Please also write your
children's name on their coats. We are encouraging the children to
be independent and also know which clothes belong to them. Thank you
for your cooperation.
Polite notice- Please
don't bring your child into pre-school if they are unwell. Children and
staff who are suffering from diarrhoea, sickness and conjunctivitis
should not attend pre-school until they are clear of the illness.
{48 hours recommended}.
School gate-A member of
staff opens the gate at 12.25 on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and
11.25 on Tuesday and Thursdays. The gate is opened for a very short
period so please be on time to collect and deliver your child so
that you do not disturb the school office.
Opening hours- We are
open 9.00 till 3.00, term time only. Could parents please make sure
that children arrive on time and are collected on time at the end of
the session. Please ensure you collect pre-school children before
you collect your older children from the primary school.

Lunch/Snack-Please note
that one of our children has a nut allergy. Therefore please DO NOT
bring in food containing nuts. At snack time children are given:
water, fresh fruit, veg, breadsticks etc.
Donations-these are
gratefully received at any time for the following: tissues, wet
wipes, rice cakes, bread sticks, raisins or anything healthy. No
biscuits, sweets or crisps please! Every item is valued and
appreciated.
At Trinity pre-school
we encourage healthy eating with the occasional treat!! During our
cooking activities children will be able to take home delicious
treats.
