Trinity Pre-school offers part-time pre-school education for children aged two-and-a-half to five. We offer a minimum of two sessions and a maximum of four. These may be a mixture of morning and afternoon sessions.

Children should ideally be toilet trained before they start and we're happy to help children work towards this.

The Pre-school operates a waiting list policy and invites the 'next on the list' when a place becomes available. We recommend registering with us as early as possible. You can print off an application form from this website and send it to us. Our address is at the top of the page.

SESSION TIMES – Flexible 15 Offering

Trinity Pre-School will offer the government’s Flexible 15 scheme from September 2010. The session times on the first page reflect the government’s requirements for this Scheme. As part of the Scheme, 15 hours of funded childcare is available for children aged 3 and 4. It becomes effective from the term after your child has turned 3 years old.  Once your child has come of age, he/she will have access to a maximum of 15 hours worth of government funding each week.   Where a child attends more than 15 hours per week, parents in receipt of the funding will be charged for the extra hours.  These additional hours will be charged at the rate of £5.00 per hour. Please note that the total of 15 funded hours can be split over a maximum of two providers (but a total of 15 hours per child cannot be exceeded).

We have received feedback from a number of parents that children aged  2 ½  still have an afternoon sleep, making afternoon sessions not necessarily suitable for their child.  On Tuesdays& Thursdays we have moved the years to the morning (from 9.00 - 11.30) and offer an afternoon session for the 3+ years olds from 11.30- 3.00. The afternoon session for the 3+ years olds will include a lunch club and so those 3+ year oIds will be required to bring a packed lunch.

Session on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will remain unchanged.

Sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday include time for lunch.  All children attending these morning sessions will be required to bring their own named packed lunch.  Packed lunches will not be refrigerated, although children will eat fairly promptly at 11.45am, and so food will only have been un-refrigerated for a few hours.  In hotter weather it may be advisable to put a small ice-pack into the lunch box.

Please contact our Admissions Secretary if you wish to increase the number of sessions that your child is currently attending.

TRINITY PRE-SCHOOL: HOW WE ARE RUN

Trinity Pre-school is a registered charity. Its main aim is to provide affordable childcare.  It is managed by an elected Committee of volunteers, generally made up by parents of children at the Pre-school. These volunteers put in a lot of hard work to manage all the aspects of the Pre-school. This keeps overhead costs down, thus providing you and other parents in Henley with high quality, low cost childcare. We are always looking for new additions to the Committee as and when specific roles become available. We hope that you will also volunteer at some point in the future. Our Constitution also requires us to hold an Annual General Meeting. You will be informed when this meeting is due. Please make every effort to attend.

Pre-school staff are employed by the Committee. Supervisor Anita Gonzalez is in charge of the day-to-day running of the Pre-school.

The Committee reviews and updates policies adopted by the Pre-school,  copies of which are available on the noticeboard. Another important role of the Committee is fund-raising. Various events are held throughout the year to raise money for books, toys and equipment.

Trinity Pre-school is a Registered Charity No.   1023282
